Where can I find the Worldview Asian Blossom Dinnerware Set - Onyx from Target? It's unavailable everywhere!? I know the dinnerware has been around atleast a couple of years and they probably quit making it, but I was hoping to find it on ebay or something. I cannot find this anywhere! |
| I would continue with ebay.... target or amazon also used to carry it.... |

Looking for some green dinnerware with a crackle finish? A few weeks ago my husband and I were in Target and we saw some green dinnerware in the clearance. It was Asian style with a crackle finish and it was a nice green, almost like a very bright Jade. We didn't buy them 'cause of budget at the time, but we've been looking for them everywhere online and can't seem to find anything similar. I tried a google image search and found one item, but the dishes are round, not square. I've tried Bed Bath & Beyond, Linens N Things, Pier1, Ikea, Target, Macy's and Ebay, but have yet to find them. Link and pictures suggested. Thanks ahead of time |
I saw those dishes you are talking about, and they ARE beautiful. Have you tried going on E-Bay? That's how I found my discontinued Tracy Porter dishes that were sold at Target.
Believe it or not - Walmart actually has some dishes that are very similar to those at Target. If you aren't able to track down those at Target - you might check these out at Walmart.
Have you tried talking to the manager of Target? Perhaps he can tell you more about them. Anyway - good luck! |
How can I make my apartment Asian Modern without going kitsch? I'm moving into a new apartment and decorating. And I'd like something like an Asian modern theme, but I want to avoid anything over the top or kitsch. Like I don't want paper lanterns or geisha statues everywhere. But I would like simple, clean lines, with an urban feel like a modern Tokyo apartment. I've got some square dinnerware, and a few metal vases with sprays of cherry blossoms. Any ideas? |
Love the idea... maybe paper latern style lamps would bring the feel...
Craft stores would be a great place to start or even a fabric store to change any upholstery
Good luck. |
Searching for unique and original dinnerware- cups, plates, etc- any good brands?!!? I love Middle Eastern and Indian (India) themed ... well, anything. So I am moving into my own place in the next few months and I am searching for some really neat, possibly Middle East or South Asian inspired dinnerware. Different designs, colors, etc...
Anyone know any good brands or retailers?? I don't want plain white and I hate those corny looking flowered dishes haha. Thanks! |
I would definitely check the thrift stores/flea mkts/bazaars in your area.
Also, many ceramics places will let you come in and make your own
plates, etc. -- It could be as simple as picking out an asian style stencil at the craft store, then decide what colors you want your dishes. If you are really brave, freehand a design onto each dish. Even if you couldn't afford all of it at once, you could do it over time, and then you would REALLY have a unique set of dishes.
Another good place to look is World Market -- LUV that store!! |
Looking for the name of a piece of dinnerware? My Mom was out for dinner and ate from a bowl she really liked. I'd like to identify it, so I can buy some for her.
The best way I can describe it, is to take a regular bowl, and tilt it towards you, that is the angle at which the bowl sits. It's used for asian noodles. Does anyone know what this would be called, so I can order her some? |
| Easiest thing is to contact the restaurant, talk to the person who ordered the bowls, and ask him/her for the info, including, if possible, ordering info. |
Where can I buy blue and white Thai restaurant dinnerware pattern? So, about 7 years ago, I was in Thailand at the huge Chatuchak weekend marketbought and brought back a giant set of the blue and white Thai dinnerware pattern that many Thai restaurants here in the U.S. and abroad use. Now, many pieces have broken over the years, and I need to replace them, but don't have the time or money to go to Thailand at the moment. I found one online store out of Arizona, but was hoping someone could give me the name of some other places here in the states that carry it. They don't seem to have it at any of the local asian markets here. Thanks! |
| Google works very well, Asian Markets Dinnerware etc. |
Any Ebayers out there? I have been a buyer-now attempting to sell online. I have listed 6 items- 3 days to go-no bids. The items include new jeans - and Asian dinnerware. Pics look great- is this a slow season? Any advise would be great! |
| I'm an ebayer/buyer and I usually don't bid on items that still have a couple days to end. I bid when the time is almost up at maximum maybe 10-15hrs. The reason I do this is because I dont want to be constantly checking everyday is am the highest bidder. I dont think you have anything to worry about, I once sold an item on ebay and they didn't bid on it till the last minute. Hope this helped. GOod Luck |
